Apps for people with disabilities are apps designed and developed with the goal of helping and supporting the lives of people with disabilities, solving problems they encounter more easily, and providing them with a good and accessible user experience. Recently, the applications have become an important tool for adapting to the needs of people with disabilities, as well as for supporting compliance with the guidelines and announcements of the accessibility and equality laws.
The most common types of disabilities are mobility, vision and hearing disabilities. In order to help people with these disabilities, applications have been developed that include features such as accessible maps, voice control, integration with assistive devices, and more. These features allow people with disabilities to solve accessibility problems, and perform actions more easily and conveniently.
For example, there are apps that allow people with mobility impairments to control their phone by using the angles of the face, so they can do things like send messages and manage Calls without the need for direct contact with the screen. There are also apps that allow visually impaired people to adjust the font size and increase the screen size to make reading easier and prevent eyestrain. In addition, there are applications that allow people with hearing disabilities to increase the volume of the phone and direct the number in order to provide a more comfortable call experience.
Apps for people with disabilities can also help people with disabilities manage their daily lives more conveniently. For example, there are apps that allow people with mobility disabilities to manage the timing of medications, and remind them regularly to take the medications at the right time. In addition, there are applications that allow people with mobility disabilities to develop daily tasks, set meeting times, and remind them of various activities when they need to perform them.

Dear madames/ Sirs.
In 2007, I joined the struggle of the disabled in Israel – and as of July 10, 2018, I do so as part of the “Nitgaber” movement – transparent disabled people that I joined – a movement that represents the disabled whose disability is not visibly visible on the outside – which leads to severe discrimination against us even in relation to other disabled people.
The figure we are currently looking for is the number of transparent disabled people in the State of Israel whose problem they are suffering from is notmental or psychiatric.
How do you think this figure can be found out?

Subject: software/system for those with dementia.
Dear Madames/ Sirs.
I thought of the following idea of developing an application for people who suffer from diseases that are accompanied by cognitive decline and conditions of dementia such as Alzheimer’s:
As we know, the patients with diseases whose main characteristic is cognitive decline (such as Alzheimer’s or other diseases in which there is a state of dementia) are gradually losing many abilities such as short-term memory or day-to-day functioning that is gradually deteriorating. The idea is to establish software, or a system that will be designed for people who are in this situation. The challenge is to gather in such a system all the programs or systems that the person uses – and through an artificial intelligence system the operating mechanism will become simpler and simpler as the disease progresses. Of course, in order to build the system in a way that adapts itself as precisely as possible to the situation of the person using it, during the development it will be necessary to consult and cooperate with brain researchers, researchers in the field of cognition, as well as cooperation with neurologists.
The goal of the system is, of course, to allow people who are used to using a computer for various purposes and who are on the verge of dementia to not completely lose access to the systems they were used to using for many years of their lives – and thus to some extent improve their quality of life, which is already significantly damaged as a result of the symptoms of the disease itself.
So much for the idea itself.
Although this is an idea I thought about, I have nothing to do with dementia care in my personal life.
I would like to point out that in everything that concerns me personally, there are a number of things that should be taken into account:
1) I am not a professional in the field of programming, nor a professional in the fields of brain research, cognition or neurology – and for this reason I will not be able to accompany such a project step by step. Another part of the project. 2) I live on a very low income – a disability allowance from the National Insurance Institute. Therefore, I have no ability to invest any budgets in realizing the idea. And what’s more: due to the seriousness of my situation, even very high discounts simply won’t help. 3) I live in the Kiryat Menachem neighborhood in Jerusalem, and I don’t have a car or a driver’s license. Due to my health and financial situation, there is also no chance that I will be able to get a driver’s license or purchase a car in the future. Therefore, my ability to attend consultation meetings at the offices of companies that are considerably far from where I live is non-existent.

To:
Subject: treatment of-peglax.
Dear Madames/ Sirs.
I have been suffering for many years from various medical problems – physical and mental. One of the physical diseases I suffer from is called “Irritable Bowel Syndrome” – a disease whose main characteristics for me are extreme changes in appetite, nausea that sometimes makes it difficult to drink a sufficient amount of water (and as a result of this condition I have suffered from several cases of dehydration in recent years, which even forced me to go to the emergency room of a hospital), hard bowel movements and pain after bowel movements. After I consulted with doctors in the field where I was examined, it became clear to me that this is a chronic disease that cannot be cured. However, there is a preparation calledpeglax – the consumption of which in combination with a proper diet can definitely relieve me significantly. This preparation is not included in the medicine basket, and in view of my dire economic situation, it is not possible for me to take it regularly.
Do you think there is a solution to this type of problem? Regards, Asaf Binyamini. P.S. I have an opinion that I received from a dietician named Liron Ladenheim with whom I was examined on March 27, 2007 at the Klalit Health Insurance Fund (in the Kiryat Moshe neighborhood branch in Jerusalem where at the time I was being monitored by a family doctor named Dr. Yehudit Saadon).
8) Below is the list of medical problems from which I suffer: 1. Mental illness-compulsive syndromeOCD as well as a disease defined as schizo-affective disorder 2. Psoriatic arthritis. 3. A neurological problem whose definition is not clear. Her main symptoms: objects that fall from my hands without me noticing, dizziness, loss of feeling in some areas of the palms and a certain problem with balance and posture. 4. Chronic disc herniation in the back in vertebrae 4-5 – which also radiates to the legs and makes it difficult to walk. 5. Irritable bowel syndrome. 6. Beginning of signs of a cardiological problem from the last month (I am writing these words on Thursday, March 22, 2018). As of the time of writing these lines, the essence of the problem is still unclear, which is manifested in chest pains during most of the day, difficulties in breathing and also in speaking.
9) Below is the beginning of the letter, which I sent several years ago to various places (I wrote these words on Tuesday, August 6, 2019): to:
Subject: medical service.
Dear Madames/ Sirs.
Me, assaf benyamini, 46 years old, live in a rental in the Kiryat Menachem neighborhood in Jerusalem, and I am a person who suffers from various medical problems – physical and mental.
Chronic blue I am forced from time to time to go to the family doctor if and when one problem or another arises. Unfortunately, an outrageous reality regularly exists: in my meetings with the family doctor, it is not possible to bring up medical problems, if and when it is necessary due to the large amount of time the doctor spends on phone calls that have nothing to do with me – and so even when the doctor gives medical recommendations, he is not focused, giving recommendations that may be reasonable There is a very high number of incorrect recommendations and based on only partial or very superficial information. I am chronically blue, this reality is unbearable for me – and in my long experience with the health insurance fund where I am allegedly treated, I have learned that the situation is getting worse and I will probably no longer receive any medical treatment – the situation will be serious Or as dangerous as it may be. My question to you is: What do you think can be done about it? Regards, Asaf Binyamini. P.S. I am not considering switching to another doctor or to another health insurance fund – from past experience I have learned that even with other doctors the situation is no different from what I describe here, and switching to another health insurance fund will not have any results except,

Dear Madames/ Sirs.
I suffer from a physical disability that is getting worse over the years – since the work accident I had at the beginning of 1998. Due to further aggravation that has occurred in recent weeks, I find it increasingly difficult physically to wash dishes in the kitchen after eating. I would like to note that the issue of environmental quality is important to me I am very – therefore I am not interested in using disposable tools. There is also another difficulty here: I am a person who lives on a very low income – a disability pension from the National Insurance Institute. For this reason, purchasing aids that cost a lot of money is in any case not possible. I thought that purchasing disposable or disposable cutlery at reasonable prices might be the solution in such a situation. Do you know any companies from which such cutlery can be purchased?

Subject: Continuation of proceedings.
Dear Madames/ Sirs.
On April 12, 2021, I arrived with my father at the Bank Leumi branch at 106 Herzl Boulevard in the Beit Hakerem neighborhood in Jerusalem for personal errands. Before we entered the branch, my father parked the car in a place that did not interfere with traffic at all, and for only a few minutes, in a parking space that was intended for bank customers. Despite this, my father received a fine – and after the appeal I submitted to the Jerusalem Municipality’s parking services department was rejected on – My father requested to appear in this matter before the Court of Local Affairs in order to challenge it. However, the Court of Local Affairs in Jerusalem, where the case was handled, refused for a long period of time to set a date for the hearing – and this despite repeated requests addressed to them and this with a variety of different excuses. I would like to point out that in view of this conduct of the Court of Local Affairs in Jerusalem, I filed a complaint against them to the management of the courts.
On Monday, May 8, 2023 at 11:18 a.m. I received a phone call from the Courts Administration, to my cell phone number 972-58-6784040. In this phone call, which came from the number 074-7482101, their representative with whom I spoke made a strange and puzzling claim (I do not know anything about the identity of their employee from whom I received this phone call): she claimed that the Court of Local Affairs could not schedule a hearing as long as the Jerusalem Municipality did not File an indictment against me. This claim was strange and puzzling for two reasons:
1. This is not an indictment at all, but an appeal against a parking report – a completely different matter.
2. On Sunday, May 7, 2023 at 3:35 p.m. I received the following message from the Courts Administration:
Your request to be tried for Parking Report No. 8918884-1 has been accepted and transferred to the Local Affairs Court. A summons will be sent by the court clerk. Parking Services Division, Jerusalem Municipality. I must state here that I did not know which of the two conflicting messages of the court administration I should believe. Finally, a hearing was set for March 5, 2025 – that is, in about two years (my words are being written on Tuesday, May 16, 2023). In this way, the Court of Local Affairs in Jerusalem reveals a complete and also malicious opacity to the circumstances of the case: I am a disabled and sick 50-year-old man, and my father He is an 82-year-old man – and it is very doubtful if my father will actually be able to appear for the hearing in about two years.
Also, and in view of the following circumstances:
1) My father parked the car in a place that did not interfere with traffic at all, and only for a few minutes.
2) The parking place where my father parked the car was originally intended for customers of the bank.
3) Apparently the only reason for issuing the report was the insistence of the Jerusalem Municipality inspectors to rake in easy financial profits from the most disadvantaged populations in the city – just like that and without any real reason or need.
4) I am a disabled and sick 50-year-old man. My father is an 82-year-old man. The parking department of the Jerusalem Municipality, the Court of Local Affairs in Jerusalem and also the administration of the courts firmly refused to take this into account and to show the basic and most requested measure of humanity. This is, of course, a basic and elementary duty of every person, regardless of who he is.
And in light of these circumstances, I would like to know what can be done to advance the hearing at the Jerusalem Local Affairs Court to a more reasonable date or to cancel the fine (which currently stands at NIS 375) due to the extreme improbability here.

H. I am a person with psoriatic arthritis. Recently (I am writing these words on Tuesday, May 16, 2023) I received many recommendations to start treatment with biological drugs to treat psoriasis. Apparently a recommendation that comes from doctors who care about my health and just want to help. So that’s it – not exactly.
As we know, there is currently no treatment that can cure psoriasis. My psoriasis is of low severity. The biological drugs that are given today for the treatment of psoriasis no longer have the very severe side effects that they had about 10 to 15 years ago (the side effects of the drugs that were given then went as far as the development of gastro-enterological diseases) – however, the biological drugs that are given today also have mild side effects – So much so that before starting treatment with these drugs, patients are referred for latent tuberculosis testing, and this is because taking these drugs may in some cases trigger symptoms of tuberculosis even in people who have been vaccinated.
Of course, when it comes to people who have psoriasis of a high level of severity that can be life-threatening, there is no choice and they must take this treatment. On the other hand, my psoriasis is of low severity and I have no medical justification for starting treatment with these drugs. Since for psoriasis, as of today, there is no treatment that can cure the disease, taking biological drugs can only bring me very short remissions of the disease and nothing beyond that – and achieving this temporary result from a medical point of view is not really worthwhile for me – and this is considering the health prices that I will pay for the treatment itself (and not only the severe side effects, but also dealing with a great deal of bureaucracy that would be involved).
I am not a doctor or a professional, and I would emphasize that everything I write here was told to me by doctors and professionals with whom I consulted – nothing here is my invention.
The obvious conclusion is that the real reason that this treatment is being offered to me is the surrender of doctors and health insurance funds to the pressures of the drug companies that want to sell these drugs in as large quantities as possible. As a result, these drugs are also offered to people like me who have no need or medical justification for taking them.
I am really not interested in starting a drug treatment from which the only beneficiaries will be the businessmen who are the shareholders in these drug companies. I think that in cases such as these, where a drug is offered to patients based on economic interest and not medical necessity, these are cases in which the doctors sin against their duty and profession. The fact that the health insurance funds in the State of Israel and their employees succumb to these pressures is a very serious matter.
The doctors themselves, and also the cashiers, of course, will deny these claims and continue to lie to patients who are offered unnecessary medication at best – harmful at worst.
Of course, this conduct is also repeated in many other cases in the Israeli health system – which means that we, as a patient public, should be on guard and check as much as we can any medical or other information given to us, the citizens, on these issues.
I. Below are several posts I shared on the social network Facebook:
1)Many excited inquiries from the banks to us:
An attentive line = a line where you don’t listen.
A fair bank = a fraudulent bank of thieves.
A humane bank-a bank that treats its customers in a cruel and inhumane manner.
lol…
2)According to studies done in the field of violence in sports, there is an inverse relationship between the level of violence on the field or in the fighting arena and the level of violence that comes from the audience.
And the meaning: in sports where there is a high level of violence in the arena itself, such as judo, boxing, wrestling or ice hockey, there is rarely violence that comes from the audience.
On the other hand, in sports where there is a much lower level of violence in the arena itself, such as football, basketball or handball, there are comparatively many more cases of violence originating from the audience.
And therefore the proposal is that before each football, basketball or handball game, there will be a quarter of an hour to 20 minutes in which players from both teams will take part, who will then face each other on the field: a period of time in which the players will compete in wrestling, boxing or any other martial art – and of course when each The audience that will then watch the game itself will be present.
Maybe it will help fight the phenomenon of violence in sports?
Hahaha…
3) They tell about a certain area where, in order to travel by bus, the driver must be given a hard-boiled egg each time – and this instead of a travel ticket or payment of money.
One day, to the astonishment of the driver on one of the lines and to the astonishment of all the passengers, a man gets on the bus with a live chicken.
The driver is stunned and asks the passenger: “What is this? Tell me – have you gone crazy today?”.
The passenger replies: “No, I’m not crazy. You pay for traveling in the swamp – so maybe in exchange for the chicken I brought I’ll get a free monthly ticket.”
Hahaha…
4) A Bedouin family who does not know how to use the faucets arrives at a hotel.
The Bedouin woman comes to the room every day with a pitcher full of water for daily use.
One day she comes to the room with an empty pitcher – no water.
The woman’s husband asks her: “Why is the jug empty? Why didn’t you bring water today?”.
The woman answers him: “I’m sorry, I couldn’t bring water today. Someone is sitting on the well.”
Hahaha…
5) A patient in a psychiatric ward addresses the staff:
“I need encouragement. Encourage me.”
The staff in the ward: “Stop confusing the brain. This is a psychiatric ward – not a cheering ward!!”.
The patient: “Please. Encourage me. I really need encouragement.”
The members of the nursing staff in the department get angry: “You are in a psychiatric ward – and psychiatric treatment will never, but will never encourage people.” “And now we will show you how to do psychiatric enforcement.”
The staff take the patient by force and tie him to the bed. In the process, the psychiatrist on duty is invited.
The staff to the patient: “Well-what do you think about us? We are the world champions and know-it-alls-and you are a psychiatric inpatient who does not know, and will never know anything!!”.
The psychiatrist on duty enters the room and says to the nursing staff: “Give this insolent patient some good injection so he won’t be able to get out of bed for a whole month – and we’ll see how encouraging he will be.”
The staff in the department fulfills his request.
The doctor concludes: “Well done to you. We will no longer have to hear the ramblings of this smelly, sleepy mentally ill person. What a rude patient.”
6) The International Olympic Committee decides on the foundation of a new competition: the World Championship in unconventional, wild and boundary-breaking driving.
Who will be Israel’s representatives for the competition? Any recommendations?
lol…
7) Israeli politicians are needed, for the purpose of representing the country in the International Swearing Olympiad for politicians founded by the International Olympic Committee.
The threshold conditions for applying:
1. Participating, and uttering a variety of curses in at least 4 demonstrations or provocations (appropriate videos must be attached).
2. Politicians who in the past have been arrested by the police – an advantage.
3. At least 10 times when the politician was removed from the Knesset meetings. Evacuation of stray gods by the ushers – an advantage.
4. Convictions in corruption cases will significantly increase the candidate’s chances.
5. Managed a libel trial that lasted at least two years.
Appeals from polite or cultured politicians will not interest you.
Who will be Israel’s representatives for this Olympics? Is there a chance for medals?
lol…
8) And this time a completely imaginary story – but not funny at all:
A 55-year-old man who is in severe economic and social distress receives an offer for compensation in the amount of 10 million shekels from people who abused him while inflicting severe physical and mental violence many years before – when he was a young boy of 13. It should be noted that the ability of these people to transfer the money is clear and proven.
But the man in front of us makes a puzzling and incomprehensible decision to refuse to accept the compensation – and at the same time to firmly refuse to hold any dialogue with the proposers, and also firmly refuses to give them any explanations – and cuts off all the phone calls they initiate in an attempt to talk with him so much.
Indeed, seemingly a puzzling – and even stupid – decision.
However, on second thought, it is not certain that this is indeed the way things are. Because what is the purpose (and in this case quite transparent) of the compensation offerors? The goal is to reach a state where the person can clear his conscience without learning any lessons – while the person adapts to himself a mindset that says: “Well, I paid my compensations, and I did what I could to fix things. I did the most I could considering the circumstances of the matter.” It is precisely these comforting and healing thoughts of the injured person that the refusal to take the compensation tries to prevent. In addition, the refusal to hold any dialogue will contribute to conveying the message that financial compensation alone will not be able to solve such problems by itself.
Only a complete and uncompromising refusal to accept such a kind of “moral bribery” could convey the message of those who were harmed by the severe abuse and could lead to any chance that a real reckoning would indeed be made. A real soul-searching – and not only from the mouth and the outside. For this purpose, the insomnia, nervousness, and difficult memories (hopefully they will be awakened) of those responsible for the injustice will be very important – and no amount of money can ever be a substitute for that.
Of course, such a decision is on the border of inhumane, and also very difficult to carry out on a practical level – but in such a case, it is definitely the last option of the injured person to convey this all-important message.
That’s how I see things.
9) A driver passes an intersection with a red light.
After a few more meters of driving, he meets a police car and has to stop on the side of the road. The policeman approaches his car, and gives him a report with a fine for the offense.
The policeman: “You have now run a red light – this is the fine you deserve.”
The driver: “Why? I didn’t run a red light.”
At this point in the conversation the driver’s wife, who was sitting next to him in the car, intervenes and says: “How can you claim that you didn’t run a red light – I just saw you doing it!!”.
The policeman hears her words and says to the driver: “You know what? This time I give up on you. You-at this moment you have already received your punishment…”.
lol…
10) ,Rotem Peer feeling disappointed
Today I participated in the health committee in the Knesset which discussed the crazy waiting times for receiving psychological or psychiatric treatment.
People commit suicide because they don’t get treatment in time!!
A psychologist in the public service receives NIS 45 per hour. After so many years of studying, why would they want to work in this system?
The result is months of waiting for treatment and sometimes even a year and a year and a half.
Today there are 5,000 psychologists in the public service who are supposed to treat 400,000 mentally challenged (and maybe more).
One psychologist for every 1,000 students.
Psychiatry is in deep crisis. There are no psychiatrists.
People are forced to pay thousands of shekels an hour to private psychiatrists or in the worst case, commit suicide.
Renovations…
Huge salaries…
And everything collapses.
Today it is that person’s child, tomorrow it is your child.

11) A (probably true) story I heard recently:
A few days after the end of the Six Day War, a group of Israeli soldiers entered the city of Jericho on some mission (it is not known what that mission was – it is very possible and it is classified information that is prohibited from publication even today).
It was one of the hot summer days – and that day there was a lot of rain. While the soldiers were walking on one of the streets of the city, they saw in front of them a young Palestinian boy who was selling ice to passers-by.
One of the soldiers turned to that Palestinian boy and asked him how much he had to pay to buy an ice cube. But even before this sale went into effect, the commander of those soldiers arrived at the scene. The commander kicked that Palestinian boy and forcibly removed him from the place – and also took all the ice cubes he wanted to sell without paying – just for no reason, and without any previous provocation on the part of that Palestinian boy.
The same commander (whose identity is unknown) later even reprimanded his soldiers for intending to pay that Palestinian boy – and his argument was that the Israeli soldiers, who had just won the war, should not pay the residents of the city of Jericho, who previously lived in enemy land, anything for any goods.
what a shame…
I will point out that I do not know if the case was reported to any authorities and if that commander or any of his soldiers, who did not protest his rude and callous behavior, gave judgment at some stage for their beastly behavior.
Just a shame…
12) In an agricultural farm of a certain country, they came to the conclusion that in times of war the milk yield of the cows in the farm is much higher than in times of peace.
Therefore, whenever the dairy managers want to increase their sales and financial profits, they try to contact the enemy across the border, and explain to them that firing missiles is good for business…
Hahaha…
13) According to surveys conducted, the average time that passes from the moment a patient or patient arrives at the clinic and begins to describe to the doctor what he thinks the problem is from which he is suffering until the doctor interrupts his words rudely or impatiently is 18 seconds.
Therefore, when I arrive at the clinics and being aware of this situation, I will have to plan things so that I speak to the doctor for a maximum of 18 seconds.
This task is very difficult for people like me who, because of their illness or condition, sometimes speak slower than usual – but I will have to practice and get used to it. There will be no choice. The level of attention of the doctors is problematic – and my impression is that they are determined to leave the situation as it is and God forbid not bring about any improvement.
Oops… I’ve been writing here for well over 18 seconds… I’m considering worrying about this….
lol…
J. An idea for a project I thought about:
As you know, in houses where people live, there are sometimes various insects and/or pests that, in order to exterminate them, it is necessary to use pesticides that can sometimes be dangerous for humans as well.
As a result, it sometimes happens that for several hours, and as long as the pesticides are working, it is not possible to physically stay in the apartment or building.
But sometimes there are people who for various reasons cannot leave their apartment due to the lack of an alternative place where they can be during these hours.
Therefore, the idea is to establish a kind of social network whose purpose will be to “match” people who have to leave their apartment for a few hours as long as the pesticides are active and have no other place or apartment and other people who will be willing to host them for this period of time.
