Dear Madames/ Sirs.
In the last week (I am writing these words on Tuesday, 21.12.2021) I have been receiving calls on the social network WhatsApp from an unknown source – calls that reach my mobile phone number 972-58-6784040.
These calls come from the number
+60-19-436-2478
When I try to answer these calls I hear nothing but a few giggles that last a few seconds — after which the call immediately hangs up. I have seen that this is a call that comes from the prefix of Malaysia — although of course it is not possible to know, and it is very possible that the person or bot making this call is falsifying the number.
I will note that I know nothing about the factors behind these harassments, their goals or motives. These calls come most of the day – and especially in the afternoon or afternoon according to Israel time.
I will note that even after I made a block to the number +60-19-436-2478 this helped for a very short time of a few single days after which the harassment calls continued.
I have already contacted the National Cyber Headquarters of ISRAEL on this matter, to the email address [email protected] and they claim that they are not the address. I will note that I did not keep my correspondence with them.
So I ask here: Who can handle such a situation? Who is the address?
I will note from past experience that inquiries to the Israel Police about such a problem are also not addressed.
I will also note that I live on a very low income-disability pension from the National Insurance Institute. For this reason I am unable to pay private investigators for further treatment of the matter.
