Subject: treatment/follow-up problem.

Dear Madames/ Sirs.

I am a 50-year-old man from the Jerusalem area who has suffered from mental problems for many years – and is also treated with psychiatric drugs.

But for several years now I have been left without monitoring the psychiatric drugs I take. The reason: the psychiatrists at the mental health stations stopped providing this service. I know it sounds far-fetched and completely absurd – but unfortunately this is the case.

On the other hand, and in light of my economic hardship as someone who lives on a disability allowance from the National Insurance Institute, private follow-up by a psychiatrist is not possible.

And what’s more: following a work accident I had at the beginning of 1998 and a slow and consistent deterioration in my physical health from then until today, I have increasing difficulty in physically getting to clinics for examination or treatment – if and when it is necessary. The Ministry of Health and the General Health Insurance Fund in which I am insured currently do not provide any response to this difficulty.

I’m looking for a solution – I need to follow up on the medication urgently.

Subject: My response to your words from dayJanuary 12, 2023:

Dear Sir.

Further to your claims from 12.1.2023, I am attaching here the post I wrote on Facebook on the subject in question. I ask you, and in every language of request, not to pressure me in this matter. The psychiatrists at the mental health centers don’t follow the medication today anyway – and I avoid going there out of a desire to protect myself and my health – and for exactly the same reason I am asking you, and in every language of request, to stop pressuring me about this!!! You choose to see the reality (and this is not “my reality”!!! This is the reality encountered by everyone who comes to mental health stations).

And now for the quote itself:

http://antipsychiatry.org/

The

Antipsychiatry

Coalition-

International organization of victims of psychiatric attacks, ie: serious violations of human rights committed by psychiatrists.

Are there such cases in the State of Israel as well? I am convinced that there are – and many, because of the unique status that the profession of psychiatry has, which distinguishes it from any other medical profession.

The profession of psychiatry is the only profession among the medical professions in Israel, in which the doctor also has enforcement powers. The psychiatrist, by his decision, can send a patient to forced hospitalization – which no doctor in any other field of medicine can do, and even in cases that can really justify it (such as a person who has suffered a stroke, which in my opinion there are cases in which the person should be taken to treatment even if at the time he is against it , and this is for the simple reason that at that moment that person is not qualified to make decisions). Although every forced hospitalization requires the approval of the district psychiatrist, given that in the vast majority of cases the person who knows the patient or the person in the community is the psychiatrist in the community and not the district psychiatrist. In such a situation, when there is on the one hand the position of the patient who does not wish to be hospitalized in a psychiatric ward, and on the other hand the position of the district psychiatrist regarding the need for hospitalization, it is absolutely clear that the district psychiatrist will automatically adopt the position of his professional colleague and not the position of the patient.

This reality, which gives many psychiatrists unlimited power and authority, causes many of them to get confused, to forget what or who they work for – and as a byproduct, I, as well as many other patients, encounter an aggressive and humiliating attitude on the part of the psychiatrists. For these reasons I stopped going to the mental health center in order to simply take care of myself and my health. It is absolutely clear to me that the way of conduct I have explained here will in any case not allow any follow-up and any treatment. Unfortunately, the therapeutic framework in which I am in the community chooses to interpret this reality in a distorted way and present my own things, as if choosing not to cooperate with the “treatment” or “help” that is supposedly offered to me there. Of course, there is no use in this: it would be quite stupid for me to go to the mental health stations again just to prove again what I already know based on many years of experience that I unfortunately gained as a patient. Apart from that, the state of my physical health makes it more and more difficult for me to physically come to the stations for follow-up – and there is currently no answer to this within the framework of public medicine in Israel. There is no reason for me to make an effort and get there just to absorb the heartache and contempt that awaits me at their place.

I would like to emphasize that these conclusions are in no way hasty or rash conclusions – these are conclusions that I had to reach after a very thorough and in-depth investigation of the matter, and over many years.

In the therapeutic setting where I am, there is a psychiatrist who sometimes does homework for patients. Her arrival at my house could have alleviated the distress to some extent – but the association I am in firmly refuses to allow this – and without giving any explanation or reasoning for their refusal.

The sender is Mr. Assaf Binyamini-Dier from the sheltered housing of the “Avivit” hostel.

II. Psoriatic arthritis. This disease is monitored by the rheumatology outpatient clinic of the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.

I am being monitored by the department manager, Dr. Hagit Peleg

III. A neurological problem whose definition is not clear. Her main symptoms: objects falling from my hands without me noticing, dizziness, loss of sensation in some areas of the palms and a certain problem with balance and posture.

IV. Chronic disc herniation in the back in vertebrae 4-5 – which also radiates to the legs and makes walking difficult.

V. Irritable bowel syndrome.

VI. The beginning of signs of a cardiological problem since the last month (I am writing this on Thursday, March 22, 2018) – and as of the time of writing these lines, the essence of the problem is still unclear, which is manifested in chest pains during most of the day, difficulties in breathing and also in speaking.

VII. A significant weakening of vision that has occurred in recent years (I am writing these words on Thursday, June 3, 2021).

I am forced to neglect the problem and not treat it, and this is both because of severe financial hardship as someone who lives on a disability allowance from the National Insurance Institute and because of the very cumbersome bureaucratic conduct of a general health insurance fund of which I am a member which in many cases does not allow me to get the medical tests or treatments that I need .

In the movement we try to act on behalf of the transparent disabled community – all those people who suffer from disabilities and severe health problems that are not visibly visible on the outside.

The director of our movement, who is also its founder, Mrs. Tatiana Kaduchkin, would like to be with you, as the director general of the National Insurance Institute, in order to see what can be done for the disabled community for which we are trying to act.

C. Below are several posts I published on the Facebook social network:

1)An Israeli high-tech company is launching a new venture – “The Demonstration” its name is.

This is a new social network, where you can order demonstrations on various topics – for a fee.

The basic package, which includes raising topics for demonstrations, also has paid services:

Special payment for waving signs (in the application you can define parameters such as the size of the sign, the color in which the letters, symbols, cartoons or drawings will be printed, and you can also define the material from which the sign will be made and the handle needed to carry it. Of course, each material has different pricing).

There is also a special fee for a confrontation with the police, a special fee for using loudspeakers, and much more.

A mass demonstration is being organized in front of the offices of the high-tech company that develops the “demonstration”: “Demonstrations cannot be the domain of the rich only!!! You cannot do such a thing!!! It is immoral!! What will poor people do who want to demonstrate and protest against social injustices ?

Despite everything, the project gains momentum and is very successful, and the company’s employees go out to protest and threaten them:

“Your demonstration is illegal!! You didn’t pay!! We are transferring the matter to execution!!”.

“And besides, we don’t understand what the commotion is about” – they say in the company.

You pay for a car, for a bus ride, or for any other product – so why don’t you also pay for demonstrations? Don’t you know that money makes the world go round?”

Authorities and government offices all over the world are satisfied with the project: “How much fun we have. There will be fewer demonstrations. And if there are – at least we will make money from it. We will do things that will upset the public, we will make them go out and demonstrate – and then we will charge a fee. What a beauty – we have a great business! !”.

lol…

2) Post dated January 23, 2023:

In recent months, the State of Israel has been attacked by a mysterious virus (and no – I don’t mean Corona).

The symptoms: people become more nervous, don’t listen to anyone, and in quite a few cases it also deteriorates into violence. But we are right: the citizen is a customer of the state – and the customer, as we know, is always right. You see it everywhere: on roads and paths, in educational institutions and schools, in hospitals and clinics, in public transportation (more and more cases of violence against bus drivers) and in other government offices and various public institutions – also in public parks and in the open. Of course, the epidemic does not miss the members of the Knesset either, who curse each other, shout and speak rudely to each other constantly.

And in short: people everywhere have a “short fuse” – with less and less willingness to stop or listen to someone else. In this context, it is interesting to know if a study will be done that will examine what is the average time period in a conversation between two Israeli citizens that takes from the moment a person starts talking until his conversation partner interrupts him and stops listening to him. Will it be a few seconds? Or maybe even a split second? And will such research be done in other parts of the world? And if so, is our situation in Israel better or worse in this respect compared to other countries?

And even if such a study is not done or will be done about the degree of national attention (and perhaps it is possible to create the “attention index” – in order to monitor the population’s attention data?) – is it possible to identify the same mysterious virus that causes so many people to stop listening to each other, Rudely interrupting each other’s words, cursing and becoming more and more violent?

It is possible that if this virus is identified, we will get to know better its mechanism of action or where it comes from – or then we may find ways to deal with it.

Or is it a chronic or terminal illness, so nothing will help anymore?

Dear psychiatrists: what is the diagnosis here? What would you call this mass and collective attention disorder?

Or have you stopped reading or listening in the meantime?

lol…

3) Post dated January 23, 2023:

In the psychiatric ward, it is decided to discontinue drug treatment for all patients, without exception.

The reason: a new regulation is going to be issued, which will allow fines to be imposed on patients who attack members of the medical staff.

The department decides to impose the fine as a collective punishment on all patients, because of several cases of patients or their family members who “didn’t speak well” to staff members. The patients don’t have money to pay the fine – so they decide to make a kind of “offset” with the savings to the department fund that will be achieved by not purchasing the drugs.

Is this an imaginary scenario? Or will medical teams really be able to take such a step?

So where is the line? What sentences must not be said to the doctor, the social worker or the other therapists, for saying which I, as a patient, will have to pay a fine?

In the news they announced it briefly – why not specify? After all, verbal violence is also a type of violence according to the method of many psychiatrists – isn’t it?

I wonder why it is not specified – before the patient arrives at the therapeutic arena, he must know what the rules of the game are, what is not allowed to be said and what is allowed – and also what happens if such and such doctors decide to resort to these fines unjustly and without any relevant or substantive reason. Of course, there may also be cases where this will be misused for the purposes of personal revenge or liquidation of accounts only – and without any objective justification or a situation in which the medical staff was really attacked or was in danger.

Will we reach a situation where for every medical examination, photograph, or treatment of one kind or another, policemen will also enter – in addition to the medical staff? And what will be the opening fire instructions in these cases?

And of course, since there is a danger that police officers or doctors will misuse these regulations, they may come to the conclusion that there is a need for inspectors from a special public council to be established in order to prevent cases of abuse of the fines mechanism that will be established, in addition to them.

And in the end what? Every medical examination will include a team of an entire court?

Shocking and embarrassing…

Please make me an orderly list/table:

One column of words that are allowed to be said to doctors.

In the second column are words that should not be said to doctors.

I really need it. I will take the chart to every appointment with a doctor, nurse or social worker – otherwise how will I know?

I’m begging – send me the table – I don’t have money to pay fines to the health system.

The address for sending the table:

The patient assaf benyamini,

115 Costa Rica Street,

Entrance A-flat 4,

Kiryat Menachem,

Jerusalem,

ISRAEL, zip code: 9662592.

I undertake: 1. To ensure that this table of words is hung in a prominent place in each of the rooms in my house.

2. Bring a copy of this table to every therapeutic arena I will go to.

3. In a conversation with a medical staff member, I will use only the words that appear in the table and are allowed to be used.

4. Words that do not appear in the table, or that are in the column of words that are forbidden to be used – after all, from now on they will not be said by, even if this is essential for the purpose of describing one or another medical procedure.

5. In the case of forgetting the baptism at home before I arrived at the doctor – after all, once this is known, I will have to avoid coming to the scene of the examination or treatment.

So I’m waiting impatiently – where is the table?

So, dear doctors, you don’t trust the Israel Post Company (oh right – I don’t trust them either)? You can also send me the table by fax

4) Below is the post I published on January 30, 2023:

A patient in a psychiatric ward to the nursing staff: “I have pain. I want you to examine me.”

Nursing staff to the patient: “Shut up!!! This is a psychiatric hospital – not your home. We, and only we, will decide on the treatment and when you are in pain and when you are not – and in no way are you!!! Poor mental patient!!”.

A patient groans in pain: “But it really hurts, please…”.

Nursing team: “Well, this patient probably doesn’t understand what they’re telling him. We’re going to tie you to the bed for a week now – and don’t you dare tell us that you’re in pain anymore!! The shift will end soon and we’re going home – and we don’t have the strength for your nonsense right now!!!” .

5) Today, January 30, 2023 – exactly 90 years since the terrible and terrible historical event.

January 30, 1933 – The rise of the Nazis to power in Germany(the reference to the Wikipedia entry written in Hebrew)

-And what happened after that we can never forget…

6) An Israeli start-up company is developing an application called “Professional and Real” – an application whose purpose is to allow its users to report impersonating professionals, as well as to cooperate with the relevant state authorities (the Competition Authority, the Israel Police, the courts, etc.) – if and when it becomes necessary .

How many people would sign up for such an app?

Letters to Dr. Hagit Peleg .

        Thursday, the 26th at 16:28

To Dr. Hagit Peleg Greetings:

Subject: request for consultation.

Dear Madame .

The last time I was examined at your clinic, you told me that there are now new drugs for the treatment of psoriasis, and that it is possible that even people like me who suffer from severe financial hardship can now be helped

by “haverim lerefuah” association To her you refer patients in this situation.

After that I visited my family doctor – Dr. Brandon Stewart – and I understood from him that he would talk to you about it.

Did you talk to him?

Also, as far as I know, there is currently no treatment that can cure psoriasis – is this true? And if this is not true or inaccurate, could you explain what, as of today, the options for treating psoriasis are?

In the past, I did not want to receive drug treatment for psoriasis due to another consideration: the high chance of suffering from side effects – and at the same time very short remission periods that can be achieved, if at all.

From your words, I understood that this situation was true 10-15 years ago (which is the time when dermatologists with whom I was examined told me about the situation I mentioned earlier, and did not recommend biological treatment for the reasons mentioned) – and is no longer true today.

And therefore I would like to ask: What is the remission period in psoriasis that I can achieve if I start being treated with one of the new drugs? And which drugs are these?

Also, and if indeed the new drugs can allow me to achieve a prolonged period of remission in psoriasis without severe side effects, and indeed there is a possibility of

using “haverim lerefuah” association For assistance in financing the treatment – in that case I would be interested in knowing what the procedure is required to receive the drug treatment.

Best regards,

assaf benyamini – a patient at the rheumatology outpatient clinic of Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.

Subject: Technological tools.

Dear Madams/Sirs.

Since 2007, I have been participating in the struggle for the disabled in Israel – a struggle that is known to be extensively covered in the media as well.

One of the means by which we try to advance the struggle is by using various technological tools: writing on social networks, opening websites and trying to promote and improve them, managing virtual communities and so on.

My question in this regard is: Is it possible for your company or organization to offer technological tools that can help us in our struggle? And if so – in what areas, and how? Best regards,

3) On 10.7.2018 I joined a social movement called “Overcome” – transparently disabled. We try to promote the rights of the transparent disabled, ie: people like me who suffer from medical problems and very serious diseases that are not conspicuously visible to the outside – external invisibility that causes very severe discrimination against us.

The movement’s director, who is also its founder, is Mrs. Tatiana Kaduchkin, and can be reached at 972-52-3708001.

Telephone response times: Sunday to Thursday from 11:00 to 20:00. Israel

time – except for Jewish holidays and various Israeli holidays.

4) Here are some explanatory words about our movement, as they appeared in the press: Tatiana Kaduchkin, an ordinary citizen, decided to establish the “Overcome” movement with the help of what she calls the “Transparent Disabled”.

So far, about 500 people from all over the State of Israel have gathered for its

movement. In an interview with the Channel 7 Diary, she talks about the project and those disabled people who do not receive proper and sufficient assistance from the relevant parties, just because they are transparent.

According to her, the disabled population can be divided into two groups: disabled people with wheelchairs and disabled people without wheelchairs. She defines the second group as “transparent disabled” because she says they do not receive the same services as the disabled with a wheelchair, even though they are defined as having 75-100 percent disability. These people, she explains, cannot make a living on their own, and they need the extra services that the disabled with wheelchairs are entitled to. For example, the transparent disabled receive a low disability pension from the National Insurance Institute, do not receive certain supplements such as special services allowance, escort allowance, mobility allowance and they also receive a lower allowance from the Ministry of Housing.

According to a study conducted by Kaduchkin, these transparent disabled people are hungry for bread despite the attempt to claim that in Israel in 2016 there are no people hungry for bread. The study she conducted also states that the suicide rates among them are high.

In the movement she founded, she works to include the transparently disabled on waiting lists for public housing. This is because she says they do not usually enter these lists even though they are supposed to be eligible. She holds quite a few meetings with Knesset members and even participates in meetings and discussions of relevant committees in the Knesset, but she says those who are able to help do not listen and the listeners are in opposition and therefore cannot help.

She is now calling on more and more “transparent” disabled people to join her, to turn to her so that she can help them. In her estimation, if the situation continues as it is today, there will be no escape from a demonstration of the disabled who will claim their rights and the basic conditions for their livelihood.

 Subject: Searching for job ideas.

 Dear Madames/ Sirs.

I am a 50-year-old man from Jerusalem – a man who suffers from disabilities and serious illnesses. For many years I have not been able to return to the job market – and due to my situation and limitations I have to look for unconventional ideas through which I might be able to do so – and below are several examples:

1) I read about a project called “The Honey Badger” – in the framework of which the technology giants such as Google or Facebook operate a contracting company based in the city of Manila in the Philippines. The role of the employees in this company, or in other contracting companies (the number of companies engaged in this field is unknown) is to remove problematic content (drugs, prostitution, pedophilia, broadcasts of executions or terrorist activity, etc.) from the Internet. In 2018, Monday May Cinema Germans named Hans Block and Moritz Reiswick produced a documentary film called “Internet Cleaners” about the work of the workers in these companies.

I was thinking, for example, about working in such a framework.

I will point out that I am fully aware of the offensive nature of such work in relation to those engaged in it: according to various publications, many of the people who worked in these jobs died, or alternatively developed very serious mental and physical illnesses as a result of constant and daily exposure to the difficult content. However, this does not deter me, and this is because I have nothing left to lose in my life anyway – and as I have mentioned for many years now, I have not been able to return to the job market (all the other options of helping organizations, job boards or contacting many companies directly have been exhausted – and on and on many years).

2) As you know, production companies and screenwriters who shoot certain scenes for motion pictures on their behalf sometimes shoot sections in which corpses or apparently dead people are filmed. I was thinking about such a job of portraying corpses – a job that does not require any physical effort to do it and also a severe disability should definitely not interfere. I would emphasize that this is not a joke or a joke of any kind – I mean it in all seriousness – and even if it is possible, at least at first glance, it will look ridiculous or stupid.

3) I heard that there is a field of software training, that is: employees whose role is data entry in systems of artificial intelligence development or machine learning – work which is known to be necessary. By entering data, the programs are “taught” how to act or react in certain situations.

I think that this type of work can be an excellent solution for those cases where on the one hand there is no ability to do physical work or too much effort due to the physical disability, but at the same time there is not enough knowledge of computers to work in programming.

I heard that in the prisons of Finland prisoners are allowed to do this work. I thought that even in such a job it was possible and I could fit in.

Do you have any other ideas for unusual jobs where even a person with a severe disability can fit in?

Re: Promotional videos.

Dear Madams/Sirs.

On July 10, 2018, I joined a social movement called “Overcome” – Transparent Disabled (in Hebrew: תנועת נכים שקופים).

In our movement we try to promote the rights of the transparent disabled, ie:

people like me who suffer from serious illnesses and disabilities, and at the same time suffer from the denial of social rights on a very large scale due to the fact that their disability or illness has no obvious external features.

We would like to know if you can help us by producing videos about us and uploading them to the Internet – thus trying to improve our visibility on the web and in this way promote the goals of our movement.

3) The current director of the “Nitgaber” movement, who is also the

movement’s founder, is Mrs. Tatiana Kaduchkin. Her phone number is 972-52-3708001 – and you can contact her at this number on Sundays to Thursdays between 11: 00-20: 00 – except for Jewish holidays and various Israeli holidays. Tatiana speaks, apart from Hebrew, also Russian at a very high level of mother tongue. I do not know the level of her knowledge of other languages.

5) Here are some explanatory words about our movement, as they appeared in the press:

Tatiana Kaduchkin, an ordinary citizen, decided to form the “Overcome” movement with the help of what she calls the “Transparent Disabled.”

So far, about 500 people from all over the State of Israel have gathered for its movement.

She defines the second group as “transparent disabled” because she says they do not receive the same services as the disabled with a wheelchair receive, even though they are defined as having 75-100 percent disability. These people, she explains, cannot make a living on their own, and they need the extra services that the disabled with wheelchairs are entitled to. For example, the transparent disabled receive a low disability pension from the National Insurance Institute,

She is now calling on more and more “transparent” disabled people to join her, to contact her so that she can help them.

In her opinion, if the situation continues as it is today, there will be no escape from a demonstration of the disabled who will claim their rights and the basic conditions for their livelihood.

7) Since our movement is a movement of disabled, hard-working people who are quite often forced to decide between buying medicines and buying basic foodstuffs – it is clear that this situation does not exist, nor will we be able to have any advertising budget in the foreseeable future. This must be taken into consideration.
